The book was great. But all great books lead to unanswered questions. Like why did Day get such a low score? Was it a glitch in the system? Was it the Republics plan to give him a low mark? If so why him? Questions like these are deep thinking questions.these question never really got answered in the book but I do have some thoughts on it. What I think happened to his test score is that it was a glitch in the system and the reason why I think this is because June got a score of 1500 which Day had got too but didn't know it. If the Republic gave Day that score then why didn't they give the same score to June? That's why I think it was just a glitch in the system.

The climax of this book starts off with how Day is going to escape from the Republic. This leads to fortunate but also unfortunate events. June confronts Day about how she will help him get out which makes them friends again. The major things that happened were that June and Day became allies and June discovered the truth behind the Republic and what they have been doing. I think the message was that all governments have secrets that they don't want us to know and it was shown in the book when June discovered the truth about the plagues and her parents death. I believe that this novel throws a world at us that can be realistic. It's not a crazy Utopian future where there's hover crafts and we've colonized space but it is a future with war in it and with nations split and that sounds like a possible future to me. I would recommend this book to a friend because it's a great book with action, adventure, love and all sorts of cool things in it. This book excelled past my expectations because it brought all the things I like. Action, adventure, war, young heroes, and all other things which make this book 1 of my favourites.
Well after Day killed Metias( Junes brother), she was brought on to commander Jameson's squad to go and find Day. Soon enough June finds Day with Tess but has no idea that it's Day. The two also share a kiss which makes it more heart breaking when June follows him to his house and calls the rest of commander Jameson's squad. They shoot Days mom in the process of arresting him. No interesting words or languages are spoken in the book that I haven't heard making it an easy to read without difficulty. It can be quite hard since it switches between characters but still very enjoyable. The setting in the book is quite important because it's set in the future where there's the slums(can barely buy food) and then the rich area(have rings worth more than some peoples lifes) so having this setting makes it important because it makes it hard for Day and June to go stealth in each area cause they don't have the common wear. I think that the novel is based towards teenagers because younger kids don't really get the concept of these types of books and adults don't really think about these things so they aren't that interested in it. I think that there is a message rising in he book that shows that governments don't tell everything about what they do. Only one new character was introduced and her name was Kaede. She had given June a stab wound in a skiz fight which led to Day helping June. It's a great book so far and I can't wait for the ending.
For my novel study I chose the book called LEGEND by Marie Lu. I chose this book because in its summary it had talked about there being a war in it and it also said that there is a mystery behind the government in this Utopian society and I am interested in wars and Utopian societies. Before reading this book I had to learn the differences between Utopian societies and dystopian societies. It starts with the main character, day, talking about how hes wanted but the government has no idea what he looks like. The book switches between the character Day and the character June. It switches perspectives every chapter. During the beginning a girl named Tess he from the government while Junes brother Metias watches over June since their parents died. The story takes place in an Utopian city which is important because the government is different and there are soldiers everywhere since there is a plague and a war going on. The first conflict to happen in the book would be Day having to steal medicine form the hospital but then kills Metias in the process. The author really keeps you intrigued because they made every chapter change perspective between Day and June which keeps things interesting instead of just being bored with the same character. I am really liking this book and encourage people to read it.
